AM Best: Workers’ comp reserve adequacy may weaken on higher wage and health costs

Workers’ compensation remains a “profit engine” for the US P&C industry, AM Best has commented, but weakened reserve adequacy could temper further improved underwriting results because of higher-than-expected claims from prior accident years.
