Cats account for 8.3 points of 98.7% US P&C 9M combined ratio: AM Best

The US property casualty industry’s combined ratio weakened to 98.7 percent in the first nine months from 98.0 percent in the same period of 2019, as higher catastrophe losses outweighed the positive impact of higher reserve releases, according to AM Best.
