PartnerRe falls to $100mn non-life UW loss in Q3 after registering $300mn in Ian claims

Covéa-owned pure-play reinsurer PartnerRe fell to a $100mn non-life underwriting loss in the third quarter, as underwriting results were hurt by $300mn in losses from Hurricane Ian, and catastrophe losses that increased to $408mn in total from $333mn in Q3 2021.
