AIG in another earnings beat as underlying GI CR improves for 17th straight quarter

AIG reported a 2.4 point improvement in its calendar year general insurance (GI) combined ratio to 97.3 percent despite a $450mn Hurricane Ian loss and delivered another quarter of underlying improvement in the unit’s underwriting as it extended a long run of earnings beats.
