Malaysian insurers face ~$720mn in flood losses

PIAM – the trade association of licensed direct and reinsurance companies in Malaysia – has estimated carriers in the country are facing upwards of RM3bn ($720mn) in total flood-related claims exposure from the recent flash floods.
