Reconstruction delays drive Lytton wildfire insured loss to C$102mn

Delays in recovery and reconstruction mean insured losses from the wildfire that torched the British Columbian village of Lytton have increased to C$102mn ($82mn), according to an updated estimate from the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) and Perils’ subsidiary Catastrophe Indices and Quantification Inc (CatIQ).
