CatIQ: BC’s Okanagan and Shuswap wildfires cause C$720mn+ of insured losses

Insurers are facing losses of at least C$720mn ($523mn) from the wildfires that tore through Okanagan and Shuswap in the western Canadian province of British Columbia in August and September, making them the costliest natural disaster to hit the country this year.
