US personal auto insurers on road to recovery but further bumps ahead

Ugly results released by Berkshire Hathaway and State Farm in the past week underline what a brutal year 2022 was for the US personal auto market, but the rate actions taken by carriers should ensure a smoother ride this year though profitability will likely still prove elusive for many.
