AerCap facing mammoth rate increase and cautious market after $3.5bn disputed claim

The world’s largest aircraft lessor AerCap is facing a vast potential hike in premium costs and a possible capacity shortage as it opens discussions on its 1 November renewal only months after suing insurers for nearly $3.5bn over 100+ planes stranded or confiscated in Russia.
