Aon: “Major shift” in reinsurer appetite led to easing of conditions at mid-year

Aon has said that “a major shift in reinsurance appetite” led to a more orderly renewal period at 1 June and 1 July than at 1 January this year, with reinsurers more willing to grow as a result of cat pricing becoming more attractive as that segment found “a new equilibrium”.
