Bank of England warns insurers on ‘prolonged’ recessionary impacts

The Bank of England has issued a stark warning to UK (re)insurers to prepare themselves for a “prolonged” recession by boosting their risk management processes, and highlighted concerns that the London market remained “immature” in its ability to cope with systemic risks such as cyber.
