BMS: $10bn+ Ian loss “almost a guarantee”, roof codes could cause headaches

BMS Re senior meteorologist Andrew Siffert has predicted Hurricane Ian will lead to a wide range of estimated insurance industry losses that will likely end up being above $10bn, as well as highlighting that wind damage from the storm will be a function of the track, building stock, and roof age.
