European (re)insurance equities rise as Chinese economy stages recovery

European stocks rose in early trading on Tuesday with an overnight pullback proving short-lived as investors were buoyed by signs that Chinese economic activity is starting to recover following the coronavirus outbreak, fuelling hopes of a similar rebound elsewhere once the crisis eases.
