FCA’s Reynolds recognises “trade off” in flexibility of consumer duty rules

The Financial Conduct Authority’s director of competition Graeme Reynolds has called on UK insurers to view the new consumer duty as a cultural change rather than a compliance exercise, while acknowledging that flexibility in the rules can lead to confusion.
