Fema narrows NFIP Ian claims estimate range to $3.7bn-$5.2bn as paid claims top $1bn

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has increased the lower end of its Hurricane Ian loss estimate from $3.5bn to $3.7bn but lowered the top end to $5.2bn from $5.3bn, with insurance payments under the National Flood Insurance Program having exceeded $1bn.
