Fitch: US MPLI market unlikely to return to UW profit despite improving results

US medical professional liability insurance (MPLI) underwriting results significantly improved in 2021, with further improvement expected this year, but competition and uncertainty around losses mean the market is unlikely to return to profitability, Fitch Ratings has commented.
