Insurers underestimated gov response to pandemic: Swiss Re’s Mumenthaler

Insurers failed to anticipate the full economic cost of the Covid-19 pandemic because they underestimated the extent to which lockdown measures would be imposed by governments across the world, Swiss Re CEO Christian Mumenthaler has said.
