James River unit sues trucking company after Florida jury returns $1bn nuclear verdict

A Florida state court has awarded $1bn in a case brought by the family of a teenager who was killed in a crash, finding that two trucking companies were negligent, with James River’s fronting carrier Falls Lake National suing one of them for a declaration that it has no obligation beyond the $1mn it has already paid out.
