Munich Re takes Q3 Covid reinsurance hit of €800mn; profit falls 77%

Munich Re has said it registered Covid-19-related losses totalling about €800mn ($940mn) in its reinsurance unit in the third quarter, with the pandemic contributing to profits dropping to roughly €200mn in the period.
