New biodiversity rules may present unexpected exposures for UK insurers

The new biodiversity net gain rules for UK developers may leave insurers with unexpected exposures during rebuilds under property damage policies, as well as actuarial challenges around underwriting and pricing sites based on biodiversity value, Browne Jacobson’s Tim Johnson has warned.
