Paying £1bn+ Covid-19 BI claims is ‘shortcut to insolvency’: ABI’s Evans

Director of the Association of British Insurers (ABI), Huw Evans, has estimated Covid-19 related claims will reach more than £1bn, and said that for UK insurers to pick up the bill regardless of premium paid would be a “shortcut to insolvency”.
