SiriusPoint’s Sankaran: Casualty ceding commissions “unacceptable” for reinsurers

SiriusPoint’s Sid Sankaran has stated that casualty ceding commissions have “reached unacceptable levels” from a reinsurance perspective but are “quite attractive” from an insurance angle, with the executive also commenting that property cat reinsurance pricing at 1 January was “under our expectations”.
