Wind-down of AIG Financial Products concluded with Chapter 11 filing

AIG has announced that wholly owned subsidiary AIG Financial Products, the unit that collapsed in 2008 amid large losses from credit default swaps, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, a move that will have no impact on the insurance giant’s balance sheet.
