Pritchard returns to UW role at Conduit after Aon stint

Former Validus Re, Neon and Vantage Risk underwriting executive Nick Pritchard has joined Conduit Re, returning to the carrier side of the business after spending two years at Aon in Bermuda.

According to a LinkedIn post, Pritchard has joined Conduit Re in Bermuda as underwriting portfolio and alternative capital manager.

Pritchard had been one of the early hires at Vantage Risk when he joined the firm as head of property cat four years ago, but left after just two years with the Bermudian.

He had joined after a spell at Neon, where he had served as reinsurance and head of property reinsurance, arriving at the firm in early 2017.

Before that he spent 12 years in various underwriting positions at Validus, including at ILS manager AlphaCat, reinsurer Validus Re and Talbot Underwriting, which was acquired by the Bermudian.

This publication revealed in the summer of 2022 that Pritchard had left his role at Vantage Risk to take up a post with the reinsurance broking operations of Aon.

He was most recently a managing director at the intermediary, based in Bermuda.
